We run ‘IG Groups’ that run for a fixed number of weeks several times a year. These groups are discussion based and enable you to get to know folks from IGB in a smaller context, and to engage with an area of spirituality that interests you for a season.
For the current term of IG Groups will run for 7 weeks, and we are offering both an online and an in-person group.

‘Rocketman’ Lent Group – Mondays at 7:30-8:30pm via Zoom (12 February – 25 March)
In weekly online sessions on Mondays during Lent we will be using clips from the 2019 film Rocketman, Bible passages and discussion-starters to help us relate the movie to the scriptures and the Gospel.
Please register via Zoom HERE. Once you have registered via Zoom, you can use the same link for all seven sessions.
Themes include: Becoming and calling; Relationships and how they shape our identities; The meaning of success and failure; Struggle, upset and forgiveness; and Death and resurrection.
We will be reading Still Standing: A Lent course based on the Elton John movie Rocketman by Rev Rachel Mann. (available as an ebook or paperback)
It would be helpful to have watched Rocketman before the first session.
Queer Faith Stories – Wednesdays 7-9pm at The Loft in Birmingham Gay Village (14 February – 27 March)
To celebrate LGBT+ History Month we will be exploring faith through queer eyes. Queering faith isn’t just about faith for LGBT+ people it’s about the upside down, inside out, both/and nature of God and all they call us to be. Each week will feature a separate topic discussion where everyone is invited to share ideas and talk together.
