Trans History Workshop for Trans Day of Visibility

March 31, 2021
07:30 pm - 08:30 pm

March 31

07:30 pm - 08:30 pm

Trans Day of Visibility was set up to celebrate transgender and non-binary people and to raise awareness.

Whilst there has more recently been increased visibility around transgender and non-binary identities, there is a wide history of trans activism and trans and non-binary identities across the world.

This event will explore some of that history looking at events such as The Compton’s Cafeteria riot in 1966, The Stonewall riot of 1969 and other important trans figures in history.

The event will involve a talk and then a discussion afterwards with a chance for people to share.
