Real Talk & Afternoon Tea: 23rd Century Christianity (4th Sunday of April)

On the 4th Sunday of each month we’ll be hosting ‘Real Talk & Afternoon Tea’ – it is what it says on the tin: An opportunity to talk together about the things that matter as we share food together.

Joel Wilson will be leading a discussion about the future. How far into the future can you imagine? It can be daunting. Yet our faith is tied up in future hope, so it’s good to periodically think about the future with that hope in front of us.
Considering ‘Christian Communities in the 23rd Century’ will exercise our imaginations, and hopefully stretch how we pray and plan.
It will remind us too that we’re in the middle of the story – that God never gives up on humans – past, present or future. We’ll discuss these questions & more over food & drinks
There will be plenty of time for questions and discussions over food.

IGB Kids Club will be available during the gathering for 2-10 year olds.
Food and drink will be provided with clear labelling and vegan and gluten free options.

The Quaker Meeting House is on the Five Ways end of City Centre at the corner of St James Road and George Road. Enter through gate on George Road and you’ll find a lovely garden and a cosy vibe.
There is ample free parking on George Road. (It is just outside the clean air zone).
Five Ways Trains Station is just 500m away.
Numbers 1 and 8 and the Harborne and Hagley Road bus routes stop near by at the Big Morrisons at Five Ways which is nearby.
The building itself is wheelchair accessible and has accessible toilets.
