Prayer for HM Prison Birmingham

In December, a small group from NIC went into Winson Green prison to take part in a worship service with the chaplaincy. We’ve been invited to make this a more regular thing, and this was a first step in discerning what our involvement in the prison could look like. As we take one step at a time with this, we thought it would be good to involve more of us from NIC in praying for the prison and see what emerges.
A few of us who went in last month will share about our experience in the prison at our worship gathering on Sunday 12th, and we’d also like to plan a short prayer time before our January Bring & Share Community Meal for those who would like to join us in praying for the prison, the prisoners, the chaplains (who carry heavy burdens too) and for the reform of the justice system as a whole.
