IGB Beyond Lockdown – Collaborative Zoom Workshop

On Tuesday evening 23rd March, Rachel Handley is going to lead us in a collaborative workshop to help us think and dream together about the future (the next few months and beyond).

We do have a ‘framework’ we are going to share with you … but we also need your input to flesh things out and test some ideas.

We are looking at continuing weekly online Sunday gatherings, resuming monthly in-person gatherings in Birmingham (when that is safe) and also adding a quarterly or twice-annual residential near Birmingham (which includes plenty of social time and eating together).

Those are the basic nuts and bolts, but in amongst those simple plans are lots of questions: How do we FEEL about physically meeting? What are our hopes and fears? How do we continue to build community with those who have joined us in lockdown online? How do we live with the values of inclusion and justice-seeking at our heart in this next phase?

As with all things we are a ‘learning community’ and so we start from a posture of not being afraid to adapt and respond to new situations, new needs, new opportunities and where the Spirit may be leading.
