Inclusive Gathering Birmingham is excited to present the 2nd annual:

Christmas Singalong in Hippodrome Square with the fabulously festive local treasure that is the Choir with No Name!

Wrap up warm and meet us on the rainbows in front of the Hippodrome at 3pm and join in the fun. (If the December weather doesn’t cooperate the main event will be moved to the Ibis Hotel.)

Then if you fancy, join us from 4pm around the corner for a FREE afterparty at the Ibis Hotel Arcadian (21 Ladywell Walk) with the Choir with No Name and plenty of nibbles and hot drinks and cakes courtesy of Greedy Gal Bakehouse.  (NOTE: This IS a wheelchair accessible venue.)

And we are SUPER excited to let you know that [Drag] Santa & Mrs Claus will be joining us for a bit of (family-friendly) fun and entertainment at our Christmas afterparty.  (Don’t tell the kids, but Santa & Mrs Claus will REALLY be local drag artists the fabulous Ibiprofane & Raphael Hoe.)

Huge thanks to the Birmingham Pride Community Foundation and Southside BID for their support for this special event!

About the Choir with No Name:

The Choir with No Name have been successfully running choirs and building joyful communities with homeless and marginalised people since 2008.

At the Choir with No Name we love quirky, uplifting music. We sing pop, soul, rock and indie (with the occasional foray into musicals, gospel, dance, etc) We love music that makes you feel good; that when you open your heart and sing it gives you a sense of release, of relief, of unadulterated joy. This music feels like belonging; to many of us it feels like home. We tap into the nostalgia that we feel when we hear a song we love. But we love to surprise our audiences with quirky choices too; we want to avoid being predictable or clichéd.

It’s important to us that we share our uplifting message. Feeling low? We can help! Our gigs are some of the most fun you can have and their raucous joyfulness and uplifting feel challenge audiences’ expectations. Homelessness may be a serious issue, and our music helps our choir members to achieve serious changes in their lives, but that doesn’t mean we need to take ourselves too seriously. We believe in getting our audiences 100% involved; up on their feet, dancing and singing; and in breaking down barriers between audience and performers we break down barriers between people with experience of homelessness and those without. We are all just sopranos, altos, tenors, basses. We are all just people who love to sing their hearts out.
