This will be our 2nd Book & Podcast Discussion Club! It’s open to all (even if you haven’t listened to the podcast)! We will be meeting in Ruth Yorke’s office (there is a door at the back of the building off of the car park). Coffee and snacks provided.

Since December is a busy time, we decided to choose a short podcast with a (sort of) Christmas theme. It’s 30 minutes (including the intro and the odd musical break which you can feel free to skip!).

This edition of the Nomad Podcast features Brad Jersak reflecting on the nativity from an Eastern Orthodox perspective (totally fascinating!). The second half of the podcast is our own Danielle Wilson talking about her experience of working in the Moria Refugee Camp in Lesvos, Greece and particularly the power of food and hospitality (to either humanise or de-humanise).

Afterwards, a group of us will head to the Frankfurt Christmas Market … feel free to stick around and join us.

SO, HOW DOES THIS ALL WORK?
We’ll select a book or podcast on Christian spirituality and let you know what it is about a month in advance. Then, if you fancy the subject, join us for coffee and a discussion of the key themes … (It will be the kind of chat you can still be included in EVEN if you didn’t manage to read or listen! No guilt or faking it required!)

From Nomad Podcast to This Cultural Moment to Richard Rohr, there are so many exciting thinkers and theologians from varying Christian perspectives available to us at the push of a button!
