The Birmingham Pride Parade is happening on Saturday 25th May
On the day there are 2 meeting points for you to arrive at, the main one will be outside Java Roastery Colmore Row at 11:30.
Our EARLIER second meeting point will be at the Church at Carrs Lane at 10:30 for those who want to join us for prayer or join the roadside team.
We will share a short time of prayer outside the Church at Carrs Lane before those who are marching leave at 11:15 to head to Colmore Row (Java Roastery).
A group will also be staying at Carrs Lane to distribute stickers and sweets as part of the Christians at Pride roadside team.
Once the marchers have assembled as one group at Java Roastery Colmore Row, we will head to the main Pride meeting location on Centenary Square, to leave as part of the procession at approximately 12:30.
Please be aware that if we have more people than our allocated number to march our LGBTQIA+ friends (and then pre-sign ups of allies) will be given priority to march. Unlimited numbers can be part of the roadside team at Carrs Lane so there will still be a way for you to participate regardless.
It’s worth bringing rain jackets and sun cream to be prepared for any weather.

Whatever church or faith community you are part of, you are welcome to join us in celebration and affirmation of LGBTQ+ folks and the gift they/we are to communities of faith, spirituality and justice.

We would love you to wear your purple Christians at Pride T-shirt if you have one (you can order one here – there will be just a few available to borrow on the day). https://www.onebodyonefaith.org.uk/shop/christians-at-pride-t-shirt/

If you are clergy you are welcome to wear your clerical clothing. You can add some rainbow bling to your Pride outfit of course if you’d like (or wear something else if you’ve got a fabulous Pride outfit you are planning).

If you have a sign/ placard with the name of your church or group on it, each church or group is welcome to carry those.

We’re looking forward to seeing you Pride Weekend as we celebrate the joy and blessing that LGBTQ+ people are to our city and how deeply loved LGBTQ+ folks are by God and by us.
Happy Pride!
