A Blessing from Christians at Pride

We love marching with Christians at Pride in the Birmingham Carnival Parade each year. Today should have been that day, so we didn’t want to let it go without sharing a blessing from all of us at Christians at Pride, a collective of Christians who celebrate God’s radical inclusion across the city. Look out for some familiar faces from Inclusive Gathering Birmingham!

And don’t forget … on Sunday, 24th May there are quite a few Pride festivities still happening online, despite the cancellation of physical Pride Gatherings!

At 10AM there’s a Pride service led by Journey MCC and The Church at Carrs Lane on Facebook Live.

At 2pm, head to Birmingham Digital Pride for a bit of a boogie.

And at 4pm, join us for our own glittering Pride Online Worship Gathering on Facebook Live and YouTube.Afterwards, you can either head back for more fun with Birmingham Digital Pride, or join us for community chats on Zoom at 5:15.

As part of our celebration tomorrow, we’re also collecting donations for the great work our friends do at Journey LGBTQ+ Asylum Seeker Support, if you would like to contribute. (No Pressure!)

Pride is more than parades and parties … it’s a celebration of the dignity, humanity and beautiful contributions of LGBTQ+ people the world over. For us, it’s a celebration of God’s profound love and radical inclusion and the gift that LGBTQ+ Christians are to the family of faith!

So Happy Pride!
