You are invited to join us for our monthly Bring & Share Community Meal. You can sign -up to bring something (via https://mealtrain.com/zey4vr), but if you aren’t able to, don’t let that stop you from joining us!
At 3pm, a number of us are gathering to pray for HM Prison Birmingham – more info here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1041938472831152/
At 4pm, you can drop off any food you’ve brought to share at the kitchen window before coming into the main room.
Before dinner Samantha Lw will be leading our discussion time.
A number of NIC folks (both LGBTQ+ and those who aim to be allies) have fed back a desire to grow a deeper understanding of the spirituality and theology of inclusion and also how to navigate conversations around faith, sexuality and gender with family and friends. There is also a broad desire to support LGBTQ+ people (within our church but also beyond it) and to be a safe place for anyone to explore or grow in faith. We want to have spaces where we can have good conversations about these things and to continue to draw on partnerships with others who are doing these things well or have resources to offer.
This is important for all of us at NIC and Sam has many years of experience in leading these kinds of conversations. It will be exciting to see where it will lead …
After our discussion we’ll share Holy Communion before we eat together around a big table. All are welcome to be part of the whole afternoon.

We meet at the Church at Carrs Lane TWICE a month (once for a worship gathering (with music, stories and cake) and once for a lower-key gathering with a Bring & Share meal. We also hosts smaller meet-ups throughout the month. ,
